Information Notice on the Processing of Personal Data on the WeShare Platform

("Privacy Policy")

Thank you for your interest in our company, products and/or services. When you use the WeShare Platform, you entrust us with your personal data or we may process data belonging to you.

OMV Petrom Marketing SRL ("OPM") with registered office in 22, Coralilor St., Infinity Building, 1st Floor, Sector 1, Bucharest, postal code 013329, registered at the Trade Register under no. J1998010637402J40/10637/1998, Unique Registration Code 11201891, tax attribute RO, as a personal data controller, hereinafter referred to as "OPM" or "Controller", hereby informs you about the processing of personal data in connection with the use of the WeShare Platform.

We want to ensure that we comply with the principles imposed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR"), in a lawful, fair, transparent manner, for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes, limiting data processing to those strictly necessary for each purpose of the processing and ensuring adequate technical and organizational security of the personal data.

By registering on the WeShare Platform, you confirm that you have read this Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is an integral part of the Terms and Conditions of Use ("GTC") of the WeShare Platform and duly completes the provisions of the page dedicated to it.

We collect data directly from you, through the services offered to you within the WeShare Platform. Some data is mandatory for service delivery. We do not use automated decision-making processes, including profiling, that affect you legally or significantly.

1. Purpose and legal basis of data processing

The data is processed to manage your experience on the platform and provide services, including:

  • Granting rights of use (viewing and downloading content)
  • Publishing content
  • Accessing commercial best practices and documents

Legal bases include:

  • Performance of contract (Terms and Conditions)
  • Legitimate interest of the Controller

2. Personal data processed

The following personal data may be processed:

  • First name and surname
  • Email address
  • Password
  • IP address
  • Photographs and video with voice (when publishing content)
  • User preferences and behavior (related to content publication)
  • Any other voluntarily provided data

You may request updates or deletions of your data by contacting Platform Administrators/Moderators.

3. Data storage period

Data is stored:

  • During active use of the platform
  • For 3 months after access is revoked
  • Up to 24 months of inactivity before data is deleted

You may remove data by:

  • Deleting related content
  • Requesting account deactivation or update

4. Data recipients

Data may be disclosed to:

  • IT and service providers (e.g. Cloud, security, telecom)
  • Public authorities when legally required

All third parties are contractually obligated to maintain confidentiality and data security.

Processing occurs only in the EU/EEA or jurisdictions recognized under GDPR Articles 45 or 46.

5. Users' rights as data subjects

  • Right of access – to know what data is processed
  • Right to rectification/deletion – if data is inaccurate, no longer needed, or processing is unlawful
  • Right to restrict processing – under certain conditions
  • Right to withdraw consent – without affecting prior lawful processing
  • Right to object – especially in marketing or legitimate interest cases
  • Right not to be subject to automated decisions
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to lodge a complaint – with ANSPDCP or competent courts
